This made my day.
Its great to hear that people appreciate the 110% i try to always put forward at work. Within this past week i have had a customer tell me that I have gone above and beyond their expectations, and another that i am an outstanding server. Today I had some guests who were disappointed they were not seated in the part of the restaurant I was serving and tell me that from then on they would request/make sure they always sat in my section.
In the service industry you typically only hear the negatives people have to say, so I feel exceptionally grateful that I have had so many positive comments about my serving recently.

TFC
(Toronto Football Club)
Due to my superior (2nd place) skill at selling our daily specials during brunch, i won myself a free ticket to a TFC match that was on tonight. I went with another server from the restaurant (who had been given the ticket by the first place server). We sat in what is called the supporters? section where sitting is not permitted, everyone is decked out in the team colours, drunk, and continuously chanting. I am not a huge sports fan, but it was fun to take in the event anyways :)

Work was really quiet today though and i managed to get to leave around noon. The weather was 30degrees and very sunny so i biked down to the beach, and sunbathed in my bikini. Sadly my feet do not get along with my sandals very well yet, and after thinking there was something stuck to the bottom of my foot all day i was pretty bummed to learn it was actually a giant blister :(
Also, i didn’t use sunscreen at all, but thought i was going to get away with not burning. Tonight i have realized that is not the case. I am burnt…!

I went to the bridal shower of my high school friend Emilia today. She will be getting married in October in Toronto and I will be one of her bridesmaids! I felt a little out of place at the bridal shower only because the only people I knew there were Emilia and her mom.
BUT after the bridal shower Emilia, her mom and I sat and chit chatted over a glass of wine, which was a really nice way to end the day. Each guest at the bridal shower was given one of these cupcakes (or 2 or 3)

On a side note.. I miss my cat. Mostly just her curling up with me at night under the covers. I hope she’s getting on alright without me.
